NetDAO: Toward Trustful and Secure IoT Networks without Central Gateways

The Internet of Things (IoT) suffers from a profound lack trust between central gateways and sensors, e.g., suspect sensors flooding malicious packets, vice versa, manipulating traffic data. One important reason for the mistrust is asymmetry centralized network organization. A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) can establish trustful symmetric with blockchain. However, it vacant area IoT networks to build within DAO. In this paper, we firstly propose secure Network DAO solution (NetDAO) mitigate data manipulation packets. particular, NetDAO has security rating algorithm assign reputation value each entity in network. Based on this, packets using proof-of-reputation packet-forwarding mechanism. addition, stores blockchain manipulation. experimental results show that effectively mitigates costs 1 s ∼480 entities complete algorithm.
